I always wanted to be a writer. I dreamed of one day having published works and making a living as a novelist, avoiding the nine to five all together. there was only one problem. I never wrote.

one day my B told me that I had to at least write something if I was gonna move ahead with my dream-she was tired of all my smack talk. Ku Yah started in March of 2006 on the Blogger platform. over the next four years I wrote about all kinds of topics but most themes centered around surfing, cycling, music and some social commentary. a recurring element has been the absurdity that I notice in daily life. I mean really, think about it -as smart as the human race is supposed to be, we still shit in our cages and kill our brothers and sisters on a regular basis.

so this is it. this is my life as a writer. I have really grown to love having this outlet. I’ve also come to realize that it wasn’t the fame and notoriety that I wanted. no. I just wanted to write.

most importantly I want to thank you for reading. I have had a loyal following of readers over the past four years. it’s not a big group but it is more than I could ask for to give me the motivation and drive to attempt to make some of this dribble worth reading. so thanks for coming back and please feel free to comment, suggest or just say hi.
