old man kian skate

strange weekend inna way. an old Peace Corps Jamaica colleague stopped in for a few days. we played about 99 rounds of backgammon. we also made some irie jerk pork and pineapple jerk chicken, coconut rice and peas, and kale in place of calaloo. a few big heads and some walks on the coast rounded out the weekend. it’s been almost 10years since I went to Jamaica.

last night I met up with a few heads at the skatepark. been about 5 years since I broke my elbow in a concrete bowl in Oregon. it felt weird and awkward to skate. may take a few weeks to get the natural feeling again. I love skateboarding but I think the fear of getting hurt will put an end to any sort of progression. I’m entering my old man skate years I guess.
